There is something special about an in-home engagement session that takes place somewhere important to you. It’s storytelling at it’s finest. But it’s also capturing your real life. The way you remember it.
This is their family’s property, where they all live on beautiful, plentiful land… It stretches across quiet fields, wooded corners, and open spaces. It’s every photographer’s dream!
We spent the entire day together, photographing at different spots throughout the morning, afternoon, sunset, and after dark! When you book me for your destination engagement session, I always go all out for you.
This is the place they spend hours exploring and relaxing. The place they fell in love. And the place they are building their future. Photographing them here felt just. so. right.
We began the day at the waterfall hidden away on their land. They both love walking here, so we started off taking photos, knee-deep in the water. I pretty immediately knew these two were going to take some damn pretty pictures as soon as we started photographing. The way they were so comfortable and at-home with each other. They had found their best friend to build a life with, and that was so apparent.

It was their first home together, filled with all the little signs of the life they’ve been building. They curled up on the couch in simple, relaxed outfits. Bare feet, worn-in denim, and soft tees. I loved the outfits they picked for this. It wasn’t staged. Just them together.
This house was the first home they shared together, while they built another home on the property. They wanted to go take photos the field where their future home will be later in the day, but didn’t want to miss the opportunity for an in-home engagement session in the place where their engagement took place.

After we wrapped up photographing in the house, (and these two did an outfit change) we wandered out into the property on 4-wheelers. Heading through the trees and across grassy fields. The land opened up with every turn.
They held hands as they walked, and laughing and playing together. Her mint green textured skirt moved with the breeze, paired with a long-sleeved black top and a light hat that framed her face in the afternoon sun. He wore a classic white button down to compliment her outfit. These moments felt tender and quiet, and I loved what they added to their gallery.

After a while of photographing outside in Georgia sun, we reached the field where their future home would someday stand. They settled into the grass as the sun dipped lower. The warm haze wrapped around them, creating layers of golden light. She changed into a bold red jumpsuit that brought such beautiful contrast against the muted landscape. They twirled, embraced, and wandered through the open space. I love thinking of these photographs hung in their home (which is now finished) right over the spot where we originally took them. Something really full circle and special about that!

As the sun finally set on their session, we moved to their deck under glowing string lights. The evening felt calm. Intentional. She leaned into him as the lights flickered behind them, creating the most intimate ending to a day that already felt so full.
Whether we stay inside, explore your property, or end the night under the stars, these sessions hold a special kind of storytelling that you will really love for the years to come.
