This Oregon Elopement at Ecola State Park was PURE MAGIC! Amanda and Zane had the world against them with the pandemic and then wildfires happening on the west coast. But we pushed on, prayed to every good vibe, and the PNW answered!
Oregon Elopement at Ecola State Park
Amanda initially found me through our mutual love of the My Favorite Murder podcast (we’re murderinos!). Amanda and Zane traveled from Kansas and I flew in from Utah to make their dream of an Oregon Coast Elopement a reality. Wildfires in Oregon had started up the week of their wedding, so we were slightly concerned about the smoke. On the morning of their elopement, a storm rolled in and blew away all the smoke, giving us that classic PNW fog. We also switched ceremony locations from the beach due to limited visibility, to a breathtaking spot I found in the forest of Ecola State Park. Thankfully the officiant was able to swerve with us and Amanda and Zane had their ceremony in the most magical misty woods. Things really worked out for us!
Elopement Photos at Cannon Beach
These two did their day their way! We began the day by hanging out on foggy Cannon Beach. Then Amanda and Zane did some of their favorite activities together like playing guitar, vintage store shopping, and baking. When it came time to head out for their ceremony, they helped each other put the finishing touches on their wedding attire and we were off!
Ecola State Park Elopement
One of Amanda’s goals for their elopement day was “to find dogs and pet them.” Right before their ceremony a guy with his pup wandered up the path. Amanda and Zane were able to pet the dog and get some photos with! If you know me, you know I love any opportunity to incorporate dogs into a wedding day! Elopement goal checked off the list!
Then in a misty forest they promised forever to each other. Their ceremony was full of laughter and a few sweet tear-filled moments. In classic Officiant Jimmie style, they sealed their wedding with a shot! It was beautiful! After their ceremony, we headed out of the woods and onto the beach. They ended their day by sharing a Sour Ale and doughnuts from VooDoo.
From the details down to the location, Amanda and Zane’s PNW adventure elopement couldn’t have been more amazing! It was so perfectly them in every way!
