One thing I will always love about wedding days is the spark of joy & excitement that is electric in the air. This celebration at Wild Oak was exactly that. These two said “I Do” earlier in the day in a small, meaningful ceremony nearby. Then they joined their favorite people for a relaxed and happy evening. The food was delicious, the music never stopped, and everyone just had a good time.
This beautiful day was photographed by my associate, Robyn! When I’m not available for someone’s date, they can step in and photograph the celebration. I still help my couples prepare and do all the editing, so you always have a gallery congruent with the Nicole Aston Photography experience. And while I was not there in-person, I loved reliving this day through the images while I edited!
The entrance sign to their reception was soft pink with gold lettering, inviting everyone into the reception. Flowers spilled over the base in shades of blush, peach, and cream. They planned all the details so cohesively, it was a beautiful, soft palette of pinks everywhere.

Inside, guests mingled under modern chandeliers and warm wood beams. Soft pink linens and fresh florals pulled everything together without feeling too formal. But still intentional.
There were meaningful moments at every turn of this evening. Whether it was quiet conversations on the lawn, or loud laughing on the dance floor. Guests chatted and laughed while the mountains glowed in the distance. The sun dipped behind the trees, and the entire lawn lit up with soft golden light. And inside, friends gathered around the couple to dance & sing and express all the joy of the moment. As a Destination wedding photographer, I’ll never get tired of capturing these all these emotions.
Desserts were displayed near a winding black staircase on a rustic wood table. Little cakes, tarts, and treats lined the surface beside fresh flowers. Guests wandered through the room, grabbing sweets and catching up. There was no pressure. Just connection.

The bride wore a fitted white gown with textured floral detailing, and puff sleeves. The texture of the fabric photographed so well! The groom wore a light brown checked suit that was classy, but added a little something extra rather than a plain black suit. Together, they looked like they belonged together. I like to think about their children looking back on these photos one day, and it makes me happy to have captured these memories in motion.

The couple made their way through cheering guests and hopped onto a cream-colored scooter decorated with flowers and a “just married” sign. Fireworks sparked behind them as they rode off. Talk about iconic exit!
If you’re dreaming of a celebration that feels light, joyful, and scenic, Wild Oak is such a beautiful place to host it. I’d be honored to photograph here again anytime.
