I have been so excited to share this blossom bridal session with you since the moment I saw the images on the back of my camera. They are so pretty!!
Okay but first: if you’re wondering… what is a bridal session and do I need one? Let me tell you that I’m a fan. They are the perfect way to slow things down and soak in this season before the wedding day arrives. These photo sessions are quieter than your big day, and filled with all that wonderful anticipation you’re trying to capture. You’re only a fiance for so long!
Basically, bridals are engagement-style photos taken before the wedding day, but in full wedding attire. The dress is pressed. The suit is tailored. Hair and makeup are done. (This is a good day to do your trial with your HMUA!) Everything looks exactly how it will on the big day… buuuut, the difference is the pace.
There is time to wander, to explore, and to let moments unfold naturally. It is a chance to celebrate what is coming while honoring where you are right now. If you want to read more about them, here’s a blog post I wrote that goes into more detail. And here’s another example of a recent session at Moab’s Dead Horse Point (another gorgeous location).

This day was just extra magical. The backdrop was everything soft and romantic, framed by early spring light and natural textures all around them. It looked like they stepped out of a fairy tale book.
Abby wore a classic lace bridal gown with long sleeves and delicate detailing. The silhouette? Gorgeous. Cannon’s black suit was polished and traditional, creating a beautiful contrast & anchor point against the gentle tones of the landscape.

One of the most meaningful parts of this day came toward the end, when the flowers took center stage for the end of our session together. Soft pink blooms framed these lovebirds in the most romantic way. I’m obsessed with the colors and vibrancy in the images because it reminds me of being in love. And as a destination wedding photographer, I love when the feelings we’re conveying are so clear in the images.
Bridals can be a really profound & beautiful addition, especially if you want more freedom, flexibility, and time to enjoy being together.

Ending the session surrounded by flowers felt like a tangible reminder of the growth and new beginnings the season of engagement brings. If you’re dreaming of a session like this one, I recommend this venue! It’s Springtime Wadley Farms, and it was so much fun to photograph there. 10/10 recommend if you’re wanting to get this floral vibe for your photos.
