Snake River Ranch is one of those places that feels SO cinematic, from the moment you get there. It’s somehow equally expansive and grounded at the same time. Envision the wide open skies, spilling out around the mountains, as far as you can see.
This is a setting that sweeps up a wedding day in it’s glory and matchings all those big romantic feelings you’re having. It’s a match made in heaven.
Their day began quietly indoors with the bride getting ready alongside her closest people. She wore a long sleeve lace gown with delicate floral detailing and a flowing skirt that moved beautifully. The veil added just the right amount of drama without feeling overdone. Her bridal look felt really timeless, which matched the tone of the day. Bridesmaids wore soft mauve dresses that complemented the natural palette of the ranch and the early fall landscape.

Once outside for their first look, the landscape really set the tone in the images. (Another reason I love this venue!) Aspen trees framed the ceremony space, with golden grass underfoot and the Tetons rising in the distance. The Giltner site at Snake River Ranch feels peaceful and tucked away, while still showcasing the best views on the property.
These two had their first look outdoors, to the backdrop of the mountains. And it was such an emotional and beautiful part of the day.
We also took time during this part of the day to capture the wedding party portraits. I always recommend getting those captured before the ceremony, when the timeline allows for it.

The groom wore a classic navy suit that stood out nicely against the warm tones of the field. And their big moment was framed by trees, giving way to an epic mountain landscape. The whole moment felt sacred on every level.
Each site has its own personality, from open meadows to tree lined paths to mountain backed vistas like Giltner. This gives you the freedom to choose a space that truly fits your vision. Whether you are planning something intimate or hosting a larger guest count, the ranch delivers on the views.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued under a sailcloth tent set in the field. Long tables, soft greenery, and string lights created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
While the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, I got to sneak away with the newlyweds for some epic couples portraits. They obviously chose this venue for the scenery, so we spent some time documenting that “oh my god, we just got married!!” high, all throughout the landscape. There’s something artistically so satisfying to me as a photographer when the landscape matches the mood of my couple. In this case, the mood was simply epic in every way.

As the sun dipped lower, the couple re-joined their loved ones to kick off the party. Dinner, toasts, dancing… the whole evening was a blur of magical celebration. They cut their blue tiered cake, twirled for a first dance, and laughed the whole evening. It made my job as their wedding photographer so easy. Collective joy like this is always fun to capture.
