I could hardly wait to share the portraits with you, and I’m so excited to see them live on my blog. I was hired to photograph this day for Sleepy Ridge venue’s new magazine. This venue is everything an epic, romantic, dreamy wedding needs… and I love how we captured that in these photos at golden hour.

The bride looked stunning in a lace gown with delicate floral details and a long flowing veil. Her groom complimented her with a timeless black suit with a simple boutonniere. The style was honestly so dreamy. It felt like a booktok wedding come to life.
Her veil had floral detail throughout it, and it added so much to the texture of the photos. I loved how it felt ornate, just like the venue. Everything seamlessly cohesive. The florals added to the photos as well, with a sweeping bridal bouquet. She also wore delicate dropped flower earrings that somehow looked like they perfectly matched the groom’s boutonniere. I loved that in their detail shots!

It feels like a hidden escape. With its European-inspired design for the main feature, this place creates the most picturesque backdrop. Add in the lush gardens, expansive greens, and mountain views in every direction… I mean, you can’t beat it. It is an ideal venue for couples dreaming of a romantic, elevated celebration.
It opened in 2009 and they designed the vibe to mimic a classic golf-club architecture look, but were deeply inspired by grand venues like St. Andrews in Scotland and Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. Also, they have two main event spaces. The cozy Garden Room, a space the bleeds out into the gorgeous gardens. And the grand Sunset Room, which is exactly what it sounds like: vaulted ceilings and sweeping views. They are ready to accommodate both small intimate weddings and larger, upscale celebrations.
I kinda felt like I was photographing on the set of Bridgerton. It was a really fun and creative day! As the light tipped lower in the sky, and we stepped into that glowy golden hour, we moved across the lawn under the willow tree. Let me just say: if you have the option for newlywed portraits under a willow… take them. It was gorgeous.

We ended the day under the twinkle lights on the courtyard, with the bride and groom dancing together. It truly was one of the most romantic backdrops I’ve ever seen. If you’re a Utah couple, or are willing to travel (sign me up!), this is definitely a venue worth exploring.
