Virginia Wedding at Ashby Inn

Virginia is for lovers, and this wedding shows exactly why! Samantha and Brandon had a beautiful, intimate wedding at the historic Ashby Inn & Restaurant in Northern Virginia. Their day was the warm, sunny October day every couple dreams of having for their fall wedding!

Originally planning their wedding in Yosemite National Park, Samantha and Brandon were forced to pivot due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the couple hails from Virginia, the choice to get married at home was an easy one: it’s hard to say no to a venue this beautiful! The Ashby Inn was the perfect space to host their intimate wedding. Just one-hour west of Washington, D.C., The Ashby Inn dates all the way back to 1829 and features fields, reception halls, and even room & board for your guests.

First Look at Blandy Farms

After getting ready at home, the couple and their wedding party made their way over to the stunning Blandy Farms for their first look and wedding party portraits. Blandy Farms was bursting in autumnal color and was the perfect backdrop for their photos!

Wedding Ceremony at the Ashby Inn & Restaurant

Samantha and Brandon were married as the sun set and cast everything in the most perfect golden glow. There was not a dry eye in the crowd as Samantha walked down the aisle (how sweet are Brandon’s tears seeing his bride walk down the aisle!!) or as the couple exchanged their vows and rings. Samantha and Brandon also chose to have a feet washing ceremony as their first act as a married couple. It was a beautiful way to tie in their faith and start their marriage off with serving each other.

Their day ended with sunset photos in the field behind the Ashby Inn, followed by dinner, cake, and dancing at the venue’s restaurant before setting off in style with a sparkler exit! Samantha and Brandon proved that even when life forces you to pivot your plans, your day can still be perfect in every way.
